
Our host Paul helped us to gear up for the rain. He works for 6 months and then goes on tour for 6 months on old mountain bikes that he soups up a little bit. He made us a cyclists soup of pasta, bread, beef stock, peanuts, and vegetables. He said cooking was not his hobby, but I thought it tasted great!

Halfway through the day and the poncho is only ripped in a few places... not quite perfect for wind. We are like big balloons sailing down the paths.
